[Action]

[Anita wakes up halfway and considers staying that way until she comes to the realizations that A) she seems to have fallen asleep sitting up, B) she managed to do so outside, and C) her back is killing her. At this point, she jerks to full consciousness and flinches when her back grinds into the surface behind her.

Oh. That...isn't right.

What follows is a panicked flailing at the vicinity of her back that probably looks hilarious to any observers and ends when she catches a handful of feathers and yelps in pain. She scrambles to her feet and looks around wildly, and...oh. Fountain. She was sitting next to a fountain. The sky is gray, but the water is still enough to see her reflection in, and...

Oh. Oh. That definitely isn't right.

Caught between a mild state of shock at her wings and a slightly more pronounced one at the fact that she's in public and someone took her clothes and replaced them with a dress she's never seen before, it takes Anita a moment to notice the book at her feet. It has her name on it, which is disturbing, but at least it's something to go on.

She picks it up, resumes her seat at the base of the fountain (taking care of her inexplicable new appendages), and cracks open the journal.]

[Voice]

Okay...I'd be lying if I said this was the first time I woke up on a strange world with my clothes missing - unfortunately - but this a little too much, mon. For one thing, there was usually someone around that I knew... I don't suppose there's anyone here who knows me?

My name's Anita Fite, but if you're from Earth, you might know me as Empress. [No harm in revealing her secret identity if she doesn't have family here to protect, although, shockingly, knowing that they're not here doesn't make her feel much better.] If you do know me and you want to find me, I'm in this place called Seventh Heaven, because it was a little chilly outside considering - well, I hate to sound like a broken record about the missing clothes.

I'll be the girl in the corner with the white dress. I would have worn a corsage, but I thought it was a little much for a first date.

[She closes the journal halfway before a tiny flutter of hope compels her to say one last thing:]

And, by the way...does anyone know of absolutely any way at all I could get some kind of message back home? I just...want my parents to know I'm okay.

A younger version of him, yes. But it is him nonetheless. Every time I see, hear, or think something to be strange in this place I simply remind myself that I've treated him for whiplash.

Doctor Law would be your best bet, for seeing the samples. If not him, once I am able I would be more than happy to take you to them.

You might have to treat mefor whiplash, mon. The past few days certainly felt like a roller coaster ride.

I would say it gets better, but. It really doesn't. You simply learn to cope.

Vacation? No. Bedrest. Though I know of a few that see their time here as a vacation.

Well...I've never been in this situation before, but I know from learning to cope.

Oh, no, really? Are you hurt? What happened?

A misunderstanding involving a knife. I'm fine, and the matter has been resolved. I 'm simply not allowed to work for another week or so.

[You have officially gained Anita's respect and admiration, considering she's never met anyone before who characterized any situation involving a knife wound as a "misunderstanding".]

In that case, I hope you're back on your feet soon and nobody gives you any trouble about it.

[It had truly been a misunderstanding. And there was a knife involved. She didn't want to make a larger deal out of the situation than she had to.]

A week at the very most. Normally it would take longer but, apparently, sometime in his future Luke Skywalker learns to heal with the Force.

Luke Skywalker...that's so strange. I - it's probably mundane to you by now, but...Luke Skywalker!

So...he healed you?

Every once and awhile I catch myself joining him for tea and blanking out for a moment because, as you said, it's Luke Skywalker. But after knowing him for a few months it has been easier to see him more as a man, and less as a pop culture icon. Especially after we watched the films together.

[She shrugs.]

He accelerated the healing process. Otherwise it would take the better part of two months.

Luke Skywalker drinks tea. Wow.

It must be weird to find out there are movies about your life.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was fond of soda, but only until I explained caffeine addiction. Now he sticks to tea. [She chuckles.] He's more amused by them than anything else, really.

And Obi-Wan Kenobi drank soda!

Now I really have woken up in Bizarro World.

Bizarre would be a most excellent way of describing this place. Where else would I run into Tony Stark, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Gambit in the same week?

I don't know about Tony Stark and Gambit. Are they from movies too?

[She's DC; she doesn't know Marvel. :| And she missed a lot of movies during childhood, so.]
